Can be used for infections caused by bacteria sensitive to cefuroxime, including respiratory and otorhinolaryngological infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, meningitis, sepsis, gonorrhea, bone and joint infections; it can also be used for preoperative or intraoperative prevention of the growth of sensitive pathogens, reducing infections caused by contamination during and after surgery. This includes preventive use in abdominal, pelvic, and orthopedic surgeries, cardiac, pulmonary, esophageal, and vascular surgeries, and total joint replacement surgeries.
